Ginger shot soup
Like a juice bar wellness shot in soup form.
Reporting from the depths of flu season, as someone who only had 2 days in between having a cold and being stricken with the flu. My fridge is full of chicken bone broth, lemons, garlic, ginger, turmeric, coconut water, electrolytes and orange juice! A deli container filled with ice and coconut water plus orange & lime juice & Celtic salt hates to see me coming.
This recipe is a soup version of the juice bar wellness ginger shot. Fire-y and sinus-clearing and easy enough to make with your remaining two brain cells when you’re down bad with the flu. Featuring the main players in a flu-kicking storyline — ginger, turmeric, garlic, shallot, honey, lemon, chicken bone broth and black pepper. Everything is blended with an immersion blender directly in the pot, so a rough chop is perfectly fine.
Enjoy alongside a box of Kleenex, clean sheets, socks you didn’t mean to keep on and a new TV show to binge.
